AeroShield
C-Series: Epoxy-Aerogel Cool Roof & Industrial Damage Resistant Protection Coating

ECS AeroShield (ECS 4440) Epoxy Aerogel Coating is a unique high-performance coating that offers best in class insulation, anti-corrosion, and moisture protection performance. AeroShield is effective in extreme operating temperatures (-92oF to 800oF) without losing flexibility or cracking. AeroShield has excellent sound attenuation and has been shown to reduce sound transmission by up to 68%. AeroShield has a Cool Roof SRI Value of 110 and creates a continuous waterproof film barrier and when applied properly, AeroShield protects against damage from standing water and can remain under water permanently with no harm to the coating. AeroShield is easy to apply in a broad range of environments and adheres to practically all surfaces with remarkable flexibility. Proudly manufactured in the USA.

KEY PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES

  • Cool Roof thermal and sound insulating anti-corrosion coating with excellent SRI values.
  • Excellent sound attenuation. Independent tests demonstrate 68% sound reduction.
  • Highly durable. Withstands 2.5-inch hail at 140 mph.
  • Class A Fire Rating (ASTM E108-91A UBC32-7).
  • Excellent adhesion to almost any surface.
  • Coating may be applied directly over rust and offers unmatched protection against heat and cold extremes, mildew, alkali, UV, oils, and grease.
  • Extreme operating temperature range (-920F/-690C to 8000F/4200C) without losing flexibility/cracking.
  • Rainproof: Can be applied to a dry or wet surface making rain a non-issue when it comes to application time.
  • Can be applied under salt water.
  • No top-coat necessary.
  • Easy application with brush, roller, or sprayer.
  • Bright White color (Can be tinted but may reduce SRI value).

COMMON APPLICATIONS

• Cool roofing solution for a wide variety of surfaces (polyurethane foam insulation, metal buildings, built up roof (BUR) membranes, single-ply membranes, concrete, board stock roof insulation, and properly prepared plywood).
