ECS 1180 (AeroFabric )
​AFA-Series: Flame-Resistant Ultrahydrophobic Aerogel Coating (Water-Based)

ECS 1180 AeroFabric is a water-based, non-flammable hydrophobic coating for use on fabrics and fibrous materials. Utilizing aerogel nano-ceramics, ECS 1180 creates an intrinsic bond to the substrate and penetrates deep in the fibers for maximum long-term performance. Treated materials become hydrophobic and UV resistant. ECS 1180 leaves treated fabrics soft, supple, and breathable. ECS 1180 is perfectly suited to waterproof fibrous cloth or as a water-repellent layer on hard plastics and other surfaces to prevent a build-up of water, ice, or snow. ECS 1180 is non-flammable and will decrease flame spread in treated fabrics

ECS 1181 (AeroFabric)
​AFA-Series: Flame-Resistant Ultrahydrophobic Aerogel Coating (Solvent-Based)

ECS 1181 AeroFabric is a VOC exempt, environmentally friendly solvent-based coating that creates an extremely water repellent hydrophobic surface. Fabrics are treated with an aerogel nano-ceramic mixture and shed water quickly while remaining breathable. ECS 1181 is UV resistant and has no residual odor. Treated fabrics remain very soft and flexible. ECS 1181 bonds with fibers to create long-term durable performance and enhanced tensile strength. Treated fibers are covered in a self-lubricating dry film that reduces friction to improve performance and reduce wear. ECS 1181 is non-flammable and will decrease flame spread in treated fabrics
